Orca Staff Views
We are always running Seal Teams throughout the year and it must be said that not only do the children love it, so do we. Most of the children move on from Seal Team to do a full Junior Open Water course and in our experience the standard of diver that results is awesome. The children who have had the benefit of a Seal Team often end up showing their parents how to do skills required in the Open Water course. In fact all the Instructors at Orca agree that they wish they had started their diving at 8 years old in a Seal Team. |
What's Involved
The Seal Team program is designed around fifteen Aquamissions that all take place in a swimming pool with a maximum depth of 2 metres. Each AquaMission consists of an interactive briefing covering diving theory and best practice followed by a pool session. Skills are developed on each AquaMission through a series of practice and entertaining pool games designed to build confidence, ability and diver comfort.
