Are you ready for your PADI Enriched Air Diver Course?

Have you had to surface because you have reached your No Decompression Limit (NDL) and still had plenty of air left in your cylinder? Well, the PADI Enriched Air Diver Course is the course for you.

Commonly known as Nitrox, the PADI Enriched Air Diver Course explains how you can increase the levels of oxygen and decrease the levels of nitrogen in your cylinder to extend your dive time, giving you longer, and safer diving. Also, this will allow you shorter surface intervals, meaning less time between dives. 

Outline of the PADI Enriched Air Diver Course:

The PADI Enriched Air Diver Course is classroom based. You will receive your crew-pack before the course starts, and have time to study before beginning the course in the classroom.

Together with your Instructor, you will spend time going through your manual, making sure you understand all the theory relevant to changing the mix of the air that you breathe.

Once you understand the theory, you will then start to work with the dive tables. As you are changing the mixture of the air that is in your cylinder, your Open Water Recreational Dive Planner (RDP) tables will not be suitable for Enriched Air diving, although they are based on the same principals. You will also work with a dive computer that have Enriched Air capability. This will track you automatically as you dive and track your surface intervals. 

Finally, you will spend time analysing cylinders with different air mixes and be shown how to complete dive logs and air logs with the dive centre.                                                                                                                                                                                                                              

Confined Water Pool Sessions:

There are no pool sessions for this course.

Open Water Dives:

Although this is a classroom based course, and there are no mandatory dives associated with the course, we will give you the opportunity to complete dives with your Instructor, whilst using Enriched Air to ensure you feel confident and secure.

What’s not included in your course:

• Travel to and from training locations and Open Water Dive sites: this is your responsibility.

• Entrance fees into dive site.
