Going to the Red Sea was my first ever open water scuba diving experience, and it really was amazing. At first i was a little aprehensive. I was going on my own so apart from my instructors, Gary and Bruce, i didnt know anyone. Once we arrived in Sharm everyone was nice and they all made me feel welcome. Gill my roomate was also on her ownd and we got on well. I got to know people really quickly. Next came my first open water dive. I had been in the pool before i went but the sea was different. Billie was my buddy, it was her 1st dive aswell. We both a bit nervous about it but Bruce went through everything with us before hand and Phil was going to be with us too, so we were in safe hands. My first dive was fantastic, i will never forget jumping into the water, looking underneath me and seeing all the fish. We then went for our 1st swim under water. I felt completely safe and comfortable. After that every dive just got better and better as i got more used to it. By the end of the week i had completed 13 dives. My Open Water Course and my Advance Water Course. I had seen dolphins, turtles and so many different typse of coral and fish. It really was amazing. It was lovely to have a week that took my mind off everything else. I didnt think about work or anything once. It wasn't just the diving that made the week so good, it was going out with everyone in the evening too. Most nights we all went out together, there was also time for a bit of shopping - Always Good! I musn't forget Colin and Graham two dive masters who insisted in being in my report! I would like to thank everyone for a fantastic week. I can't wait for the next on, it can't come quick enough. |
